No Sex in Politics
Well, sexism that is. Uh, yeah right. I have written many posts about the sexism being eagerly expressed since Hillary started her campaign. Well, now that she is no longer a candidate the topic is being broached. Even Howard Dean is addressing the “surprising” prevalence of sexism in the media and how maybe Gloria Steinem wasn’t that off base when she said that sexism is the racism, meaning it is socially acceptable and overlooked. There were expressions of sexism that people (men and women) did not bat an eye at. Well, there was a time when identifying someone as colored wasn’t racist either. But, we know better now.
Howard Dean wants to open up a national discussion of racism in this country and though it seems a little late, I guess better late than never.
