Heath Ledger is dead… and I am strangely effected.
I just found out that at 3:45 this afternoon, Heath Ledger was pronounced [tag]dead[/tag]]. He was 28 years old and had just started the height of his career.? I don’t know why I am effected by this, but I am strangely effected.? I was really taken aback by this news. It seems so startling, so wrong.? James Dean, River Phoenix, Marilyn Monroe, Freddie Prince, John Belushi, Jim Morrison all of these people were known for partying, drugging, drinking, sex, rock and roll, the hard and fast lifestyle.? Whether or not they actually fully lived up to their reputation is a different matter, when they died we were shocked and sad but we were not surprised.? Though we said, what a shame, such a loss, they were doing so well in their career, they were so young, their life seemed to be so good, we never said “wow, I didn’t see that coming!”? Of course we saw it happen. The only thing shocking about Elvis was that it was on a toilet and it didn’t happen sooner.? John Belushi shocked us, not because he died but because out of his group of friends who were partying with him, he was the ONLY one that died.
This is different, at least it feels different.? They say that [tag]sleeping pills[/tag] are suspected and he had pneumonia.? But he a drug death doesn’t seem to fit, and I don’t mean in that Marilyn Monroe it is a government conspiracy kind of way. I mean in a, I once took a sleeping pill and robitussin in a night because I couldn’t stop coughing and I hadn’t slept in a week. All I wanted was to breath and sleep. Then I found out that I could have killed myself with that combination. Well knock on wood, kick the fairies out of the base boards, kiss a leprechaun because I was lucky….and lesson well learned. All I am trying to say is that a person will do a lot to get sleep, and from all accounts Heath was not getting his z’s.
I feel affected by this.? This is wrong. It shouldn’t have happened. Yes he was too young, blah blah blah. It just seems so out of place. I am saddened by this news. Hollywood happenings don’t usually effect me in a way other than casual interest, but this makes me take stock. [tag] Heath Ledger[/tag] is dead. What a brutal stop.

Wow, I hadn’t heard this yet. (You know how much TV I watch) Sad.
I heard it from a coworker before I left work and it floored me. So when I got home I immediately googled it. Right now they are saying that it looks accidental. Sad. But beyond that, seems hard to know what to say. It is very unsettling.
I can totally appreciate the position you describe. Maybe we’re the same age.
